Chiru Shows His Big Heart, Donates Rs 25 Lakh!

Telugu Film Industry celebrated Directors Day on the birth anniversary of Dasari Narayana Rao (May 4th). Members of the Directors Association celebrated the occasion at a grand level.
Chiranjeevi who was the Chief Guest for the Directors Day Celebrations launched 'tfda.in' website. He even donated Rs 25 lakh to the Directors Association.
On this occasion, Chiranjeevi recalled the close association he had with Dasari Narayana Rao. 'I had done only one movie (Lankeswarudu) with Dasari and I regret it. We can't find another director like Dasari in TFI. As per the relation, Dasari is My Grandfather & I am his Grandson. He blessed Me attending the event of my 150th movie. He also invited Me to his house for lunch with Bommidayila Pulusu. In his last stages, Our bonding got even stronger,' he said.
Chiranjeevi has been offering donations through his charitable trust since many years. In the recent past, He extended financial support to many poor artists in the Industry. A donation of Rs 10 lakh was offered to Lawrence Trust in Hyderabad.
