With Narappa, Venkatesh delivered his career best performance in the role of a downtrodden father. The senior actor is being lauded for his exquisite performance in the survival thriller. A few opine that he bettered Dhanush's performance in the original, Asuran.

Venkatesh came up with an appreciable performance in Narappa, which is a remake of Dhanush's Asuran. Next in line is Chiranjeevi's Telugu remake of Lucifer, which will hit the floors soon after the mega hero is done with Acharya.
Well, the protagonist role in Lucifer might not be as challenging as the one in Asuran, but it sure does have a layer of intrigue and controlled aggression which could challenge Chiranjeevi. The mega hero will be playing a social activist who stakes his claim in a regional party following the demise of the chief minister. Why does he get involved in the political turmoil? The answer to this question forms the rest of the plot, and that is of course, only if the remake stays true to the original.
