Chiranjeevi Locks Happening Actor Satya Dev For 'Godfather'

Barring a couple of songs, the entire shoot of Chiranjeevi's ongoing project, Acharya is complete. These two songs will be filmed very soon. In all likelihood, these songs will be picturized by the end of this month and that will mark the end of the shoot. The post-production is being carried out simultaneously and the same will be completed in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi's upcoming project, Chiru153 is set to hit the floors on the 13th of August. The makers of the project are busy finalizing the lead cast now.
If the latest reports are to be believed, the makers of Chiru153 have roped in happening actor Satya Dev for a lead role in the film. He will be reprising the role played by Vivek Oberai in the original. This would mean that Satya Dev plays the lead antagonist in the Chiranjeevi starrer. This is pretty much the biggest project in his career thus far. Satya Dev is eager to share the screen space with Chiranjeevi in Chiru153, which has reportedly been titled 'Godfather'. The film is a remake of Malayalam super hit Lucifer and it will be helmed by Mohan Raja.
The makers are roping in top actors for pivotal roles in Godfather. They had recently signed Nayanthara for another important role. She will be seen as Chiranjeevi's sister in the political thriller. The main conflict point revolves around her character and the makers opine that a veteran actress like Nayanthara would further escalate the vibe and the intensity of the film.
With Nayanthara and Satya Dev on board for Godfather, it is very much evident that the lead characters in the film are author backed ones. Thaman has already started composing the music and the soundtrack for the film. The pre-production works are in the final phase now. The project will hit the floors on the 13th of August this year and the regular shoot will commence correspondingly.
