'Guru' is the movie which is making people from all walks of life connect emotionally. Venkatesh believes people will own the movie if they could relate to the character and connect with the emotion.
Venkatesh disclosed: 'Chiranjeevi garu said hats off to you. It's not an easy thing to sport such a look and utter the dialogue 'Nanna Lanti Vayasu'. You have taken a huge risk …You are known for it!'.
Director Sudha Kongara said: 'Initially, Chiru's Wife Surekha didn't show much interest in watching 'Guru' as its a boxing-based flick. Upon watching the movie, She had tears in her eyes while saying 'its not a Boxing Movie but a Good Emotion'.
Actually, Sudha Kongara narrated the script of 'Guru' to Rana in 2010. She even included a love track keeping the age factor of the Macho Hero in mind. However, Rana wasn't able to do it. Two years later, She narrated the subject to Venkatesh and finally got his consent after the release of 'Saala Khadoos'.
