Finally, Nolan Gets Academy Nod As A Director!

Christopher Nolan, is a name synonymous with his fans as the Demi-God of Cinema who can do no wrong or deliver a bad film. Even though a bit exaggerated the master craftsman is yet to deliver a flop and a badly made film.
But somehow his major movies haven't been received by Academy, that decides Oscars, with much appreciation. He did receive nomination for screenplay of The Dark Knight and Memento, but never won one.
Even his Prestige, the most artsy film of his career, did not get him a best Director nomination.
Finally, with Dunkirk, the World War II drama, the director has been able to get a nomination for his work as a director. He needs to fight it out with Guillermo Del Toro for " The Shape of Water" , Paul Thomas Anderson for " Phantom Thread" , Greta Gerwig for " Lady Bird" and Jordan Peele for " Get Out" to win the award.
Well, the movie got nominated for 8 categories in total along with Best Picture. We have to wait till the final Sunday of February to know the results.
