Clarification On Late Actress Son's Suicide Attempt

Since the lockdown hit the country, many people are reportedly committing suicide with the shortage of alcohol.
Meanwhile, a news is circulated in the Kollywood media that late Tamil actress Manorama's son, former actor-singer Bhupathi had committed suicide by consuming too many sleeping pills for not getting liquor.
According to the reports, Bhupati is an alcoholic and the 21-day lockdown have made him depressed.
However, Bhupathi's son Rajarajan has clarified that his father did not attempt suicide. Rajarajan said Bhupathi was suffering from alcohol withdrawal symptoms, so, he took some sleeping pills to get proper sleep. But, the dosage exceeded, and he immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, Rajarajan said.
