Comedian Prudhvi Breathes Fire On Naresh

War of words between Shivaji Raja Panel and Naresh Panel intensified ahead of the MAA Elections on March 10th. Comedian Prudhvi Raj who is contesting as an Executive Member on behalf of Shivaji Raja's Panel breathed fire on Naresh.
Addressing the press, Prudhvi Raj said: 'When I was shooting for 'Chandralekha', Murali Mohan set Rs 5,000 as fee for MAA Membership. I wasn't able to get it then due to lack of money. Two years ago, I obtained the membership by paying Rs 1 lakh and I am proud of it. There are 800 Members in MAA Family. Issues here should be resolved internally, instead of making a hue & cry publicly. Shivaji Raja has done many good programmes in the past few years. That is why I am extending my support to his panel'.
The Comedian mocked Naresh for appealing to members to offer him one chance to serve as President. 'Naresh served as General Secretary until now. It's much more powerful post than the President but what has he done. He doesn't even have proper attendance. How could he appear for the examination? What can such a person do by becoming MAA President? If you become MAA Head, He will take everyone to the media. This elections are for electing MAA Office Bearers. Telugu People needn't have to know about it. What is the need for holding debates in TV Studios?,' he made it clear.
Responding on the allegations of irregularities in the event planned with Chiranjeevi to raise funds for MAA Office building, Prudhvi said: 'JAC which signed that agreement comprises of bigwigs like KL Narayana. Rs 1 crore was offered for the event planned in USA. Chiranjeevi had seen the agreement and offered clean chit to Shivaji Raja. MAA received the agreement amount. What can MAA do if the person who hosted the event earns more than Rs 1 crore? It's a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of Shivaji Raja and Srikanth'.
Prudhvi told Shivaji Raja and Srikanth have stability and commitment to work for the welfare of MAA. 'Shivaji Raja told he would tonsure head and swear on children & god to prove that no fraud has been committed by him. Nobody would dare to say such things! Even that statement has been mocked by Naresh's Panel. Naresh keeps saying that his Mother has donated Rs 1 lakh. Yes, Vijaya Nirmala has been doing that since many years. What has Naresh done other than offering wrong statements to media? This Association was formed for the welfare of MAA Members. Let us elect Shivaji Raja who did great service as MAA President for one more term'.
