Comedian Venu Surprises With Touching Emotions!

It is quite common for actors to become directors. Starting from heroes back in the black-and-white era, the list is very long. But only a few managed to leave a lasting impact on the audience. Recently, comedian Venu who is mostly known for his blink-and-miss roles in Telugu movies has turned into a director. He made a film named 'Balagam' which got released on Friday.
You may not remember Venu instantly because he didn't have a defining role in his career after acting as Prabhas' friend in 'Munna' which came back in 2007. He was a part of 'Jabardasth' comedy show for some time. Venu turned into a director and a big producer like Dil Raju decided to back his story and make a movie with him. This is quite an achievement in itself.
Looking at the promos of this movie, many got the idea that there is some substance in it. But people were amazed to see the directorial talent of Venu in 'Balagam'. Since he is a comedian, many thought that this movie will be filled with comedy scenes. But the main highlight of this movie is emotions. Though there is a good amount of comedy in the movie, it is the touching message he gives through 'Balagam' which stays with you. He made a two-hour movie that revolves around the death of a person and the way he engaged the audience through sentiment and heart-touching moments is highly appreciable.
He scored major marks by showcasing the Telangana village atmosphere, their culture, the behavior of the people and their daily lives in a perfect manner. We don't know how much of a success it becomes on the commercial front but Venu definitely showcased his talent with this movie. We can expect many more movies of the same quality from this actor-turned-director.
