Communication Satellite CMS-01 Successfully Launched From ISRO

The third generation launch vehicle of India, the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) has successfully launched the communication satellite CMS-01, which marks the fiftieth successful flight.
The communication satellite CMS-01 that replaces the old GSAT-12 satellite will magnify the communication networks of the country and helps a lending hand in e-learning, tele-medicine, and disaster management services
The communication satellite is believed to render services for more than seven years. After the launch, the satellite was placed in an elliptical geostationary transfer orbit, which will be placed in a circular orbit after a few days.
CMS-01 marks the second launch from the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) in 2020 and the third launch from the country.
The communication satellite was lifted from the second launch pad at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The launch took place at 3.41 pm on Thursday.
Earlier, the ISRO thought of launching the communication satellite on the 7th of December. Due to the weather conditions, the PSLV-C50/CMS-01 was launched ten days later.
