Anchor Ravi Issues Clarification On Sensational News About Him

Spunky, bubbly Patas anchor Ravi is in the news for the wrong reasons. The media is agog with reports of Ravi being arrested for threatening a film director There were reports that he and 20 others went to a distributor named Sandip and attacked him with iron rods. The reports also said that he was arrested by the police. But, some say this is not true.
A complaint that anchor Ravi has threatened a film distributor with iron rods was allegedly filed with the SR Nagar police station. He reportedly went along with 20 of his friends to get back the money he has lent to the film distributor. Some websites reported that the police took him into custody. But, when contacted, anchor Ravi expressed surprise at these stories. In a video message sent, he said there is no truth in these reports. He said he is currently in Machilipatnam to anchor a Diwali celebrations show for Gemini TV. He termed the newsreports as fake and wrong.
Our enquiries revealed that both the websites and Ravi are partly true. That there was a complaint against Ravi is right and that the police asked him to come to the police station. The police told him that threatening the people with iron rods and taking goons along was not right. Immediately after this, Ravi left for the shoot in Machilipatnam. So, the media reports are right to the extent that the police questioned him and Ravi is right stating that he hasn't been arrested. There wouldn't have been any confusion if Ravi has given this statement earlier.
