2.O is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films in the south industry. The audience are eagerly waiting for the release of this Shankarâs directorial venture starring superstar Rajinikanth and made with a whopping budget of Rs. 450 crores. The expectations on this upcoming movie are sky high. But the makers have not yet announced the release date of this magnum opus.
Last month, when some fans met Rajini, he stated that the movie will hit the silver screens on April 14th. Prince Mahesh Babuâs upcoming movie Bharath Anu Nenu is also slated to get released on 27th of April. Even Allu Arjunâs upcoming movie Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India under the direction of Vakkantham Vamsi is also scheduled to hit the theatres on the same day. If 2.O is released on 14th there won't be any problems in terms of collections as there will be a gap of two weeks. But there was a talk in Kollywood that 2.O will be released on 27th as well which became a headache for Bharath Anu Nenu and Naa Peru Surya producers. However, the official statement is yet to be released. On the other hand, the Telugu producers are having obstacles in announcing their release dates because of clashes.
When three high-budget get released on the same day then the number of screens will get limited and even though a movie got average talk, it will turn out to be a disaster at the box office. Because of the craze 2.O has, all the theatres will go to it. So either Rajinikanth or Lyca Productions has to give a clarity about the release soon.
