Hungama Started On Mahabharata Title

Mahabharata movie has become a hot topic in India as the most expensive film in India with Rs.1000 crore budget. Even before the film's launch, it is facing obstacles. The movie has been announced recently but they are yet to finalize the casting. There is no clarity when they are going to start the shoot. But a pro-Hindu group has issued ultimatum to change the title of the film.
The members of Kerala based Hindu Aikya Vedi are saying that they will oppose the release of the film unless the title is changed. It is known that the movie is based on the book Randamoozham penned by Jnanpith Award winner MT Vasudevan Nair. The Hindu group member KP Sasikala says that the filmmakers should go with same Radamoozham title for the film.. how could they use Saint Vyasa's Mahabharata title.
She is raising a question that Randamoozham novel is about the second brother Bhim.. then how could the filmmakers use the title of Mahabharata ? She warned that the release will be stopped unless the title is changed.
This movie is produced by UAE based businessman BR Shetty. VA Shrikumar Menon is directing the film. Mohan Lal is playing the the role of Bhim. Akkineni Nagarjuna approached for Karna character. As the controversies are surrounding the film even before the start of film, one would doubt how many such obstacles have to be faced by filmmakers by the time of release.
