Cops arrest 157 persons in rave party raid, singer Rahul Sipligunj, Neeharika involved

Another rave party in a swank star hotel, but this time, several celebrities are in police net. Among those who are alleged to be in the rave party, where narcotics were sold profligately are singer Rahul Sipligunj, Mega family actress Neeharika, son of a top police official and also the son of a top politician. The incident is now creating a sensation across Telangana.
The police have arrested 157 persons and local CI Shiva Krishna was suspended. He was also served a show cause notice. The pub in question belonged to the daughter of an MP, but now it is being managed by a person identified as Uppala Abhishek. He too has now been arrested.
Sources said Mega daughter Neeharika was among the arrested. She was served a notice and sent home. Meanwhile, her father and actor Nagababu has said that his daughter was innocent and that the people should not spread rumours.
Similarly, Galla family has also clarified that MP Galla Jaydev's son Galla Ashok was not among those arrested. It asked the media not to publish baseless reports.
Congress leader and former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav said that his son was not involved in the rave party. He had gone to the party only to attend the birthday of his friend.
Hyderabad of late has emerged as a hub for drug trade with several celebrities being accused of being involved in consuming drugs. There are as many as 1183 IT companies in and around Hyderabad, where over 4.5 lakh people work.
The weekend rave parties are common among many of these employees. Several film stars and VIPs were quizzed in connection with the drug cases. The latest case is part of the long chain of incidents involving drugs.
