In her recent interview to a media house, Indian Women Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj revealed interesting things about her childhood. While Mithali's Father wished to see her as a cricketer, Her Mother wanted her to become a dancer. Actually, She got trained in dancing even before holding a cricket bat and dance used to be her first choice.
Mithali Raj decided to become a cricketer due to few reasons and it's a brave decision in those days. Initially, His Grandparents didn't believe when she expressed her decision to be a cricketer. They, however, didn't raise any objection when she began to playing cricket with boys every day.
While undergoing training, Mithali Raj suffered many bruises and injuries. It's then her Grandparents used to tease Mithali saying nobody would come forward to marry her if she doesn't take care of her appearance.
Mithali Raj is the only women cricketer in the World to score over 6,000 runs in ODIs. He also made over 2,000 runs in T20s.
