Crores Spent On 'Jana Gana Mana' For No Purpose!

The effect of 'Liger' is clearly felt on 'Jana Gana Mana' which was launched grandly in Mumbai. No one expected 'Liger' to be such a huge failure by looking at the sheer confidence of both Vijay Deverakonda and director Puri Jagannadh. But the movie turned out to be the biggest disaster in their careers and buyers are facing humongous losses. Due to this, 'Jana Gana Mana' which went on floors a month ago was called off as the producers backed out.
There are reports that the team of 'JGM' has picturized a high-octane action sequence already. It happened before 'Liger' got released and there was a lot of buzz on this movie as it was Puri's dream project. Also, the team brought in some top-notch technicians from Hollywood for this action part. Vijay played the role of an army officer and a helicopter was also hired by Puri for this sequence.
Along with the advances, rumours suggest that Puri & Co have spent over 8 crores on 'Jana Gana Mana' already. With the advances getting returned back and the project got shelved, the producers have ended up with big losses due to the making in the first schedule. We need to wait and see if Puri gets the chance to make 'Jana Gana Mana' again or not.
Vijay is already focusing on 'Khushi' which is a romantic drama under Shiva Nirvana's direction. We need to wait and see if it becomes the comeback film of the 'Arjun Reddy' star or not.
