Cyclone Ockhi claimed 14 lives so far in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. NDMA Authorities, Coast Guard and Navy evacuated thousands of people and rescued about 223 Fishermen.
Fishermen are the most badly affected when such natural disasters happen. All those fishermen who were rescued were seen shivering and begging for hot water or food.
Titus, a fisherman who was rescued, told he hadn't seen such a violent sea even in movies.
Stephan, another fisherman, claims to have seen such massive waves for the first time in his life. 'I was terrified when a rescue boat moved away from us though we were screaming for help. Luckily, The rescue boat came back and rescued us,' he said.
Kennedy, a fishermen, revealed the boat in which he was travelling was scattered like anything for nearly 100 km due to the gusty winds.
