Daggubati Purandeswari is a trained classical dancer. Under the supervision of renowned classical dancer Vempati Chinna Satyam, She practiced Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam for 13 Years.
For a character in 'Nartanasala', Even NTR learnt Classical Dance for 6 months along with his daughters Purandeswari and Bhuvaneswari. Not many knew that NTR even made his two daughters dance for the sequence of Karna's swearing-in ceremony in 'Dana Veera Sura Karna'. However, This dance sequence has been chopped off on the editing table due to length issues.
Daggubati Venkateswara Rao said: 'NTR doesn't want the talent of his Daughters go waste and hence he made them a part of his classic film. Unfortunately, It couldn't be included in the movie by the time of release. The saddest part is the failure in treasuring the dance bit featuring Purandeswari and Bhuvaneswari'.
Mr.Rao witnessed the dancing skills of his life partner Purandeswari for the first time when she attended the rehearsals ahead of the Guinness Record feat of Kuchibhotla Anand in 2016.
