Ram Charan - What would you gain?: Dasari
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Oct 2015 1:08 PM GMTVeteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao praised Gunasekhar for making a film like 'Rudramadevi' in such a huge scale.
Responding on the dangerous trend of 3 Big Films in 3 Weeks, Dasari said: "I feel bad about only one issue. Usually, A gap of 2 weeks is maintained between two star-studded films. But, That's not the case with 'Rudramadevi'. Two Weeks gap is a must to recover investment for a high-budgeted flick. A big film is releasing within 7 days after the release of this historical flick and another movie hits the screens the very next week. Theatre scarcity will arise if this happens. For example, 7 Theaters screening 'Rudramadevi' will be removed on October 16th. How fare is it? Who is going to benefit from it & who will perish? Why is the need for this competition?".
"In my opinion, Big Films don't need festival and people will celebrate like a festival whenever they release. There is no need to go after festivals, I'm say it with the vast experience I have. Those economics (festival advantage) are rubbish. 2 Weeks gap between these three releases will help all the films survive. 'Rudramadevi' will create history if there is a gap of one more week. That's the thing I wish to share!".
