Can Dasari ambition see the light?
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Jun 2017 7:30 AM GMTDasari Narayana Rao was one man who believes in the collective growth of Industry and he always used to insist on Industry being open to all. He worried a lot about it being a place for only those who have money and power. He requested everyone to remember their roots and how each of them started with a small film in their early days.
Whenever he spoke about the malpractices and system in the film industry, he tried to bring out the anguish of the small producers and distributors without fail. He helped starting many like director's council, light boy's association and never treated anyone as an outsider. After his demise, many of his followers, came out saying, we will try to protect his ideas and take forward the good work done by him.
Can they? It is the biggest question our Industry is facing today. A great revolutionary like him had the audacity to point out the false practices and alarm the directors too to raise about their level and write stories that had some social relevance. Well, we hope there are enough people in the Industry who can carry forward his legacy and see his ambition, "Industry is open for all" come true.
