Dashing Director Becomes An Actor For Megastar's Flick!

Star filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is hailed as Dashing Director by his fans because of his powerful mass films. The attitude of his heroes has a special craze among the youth. The star director has recently completed film 'Liger' with Vijay Deverakonda and started another project with the same hero immediately. This film is titled 'Jana Gana Mana (JGM)'. He played small cameos in some of his own movies like 'Businessman', 'Temper', 'Ismart Shankar' and his son's 'Romantic'. He also played himself in Gautham Menon's 'Ye Maya Chesave'.
Now, he has turned into an actor once again for none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi. As we know, Puri Jagannadh claimed many times that it is his dream to direct Megastar one day. He even narrated the script of 'Auto Jaani' to him but the project didn't materialize. Puri worked with most of Mega family heroes like Pawan Kalyan (2 times), Allu Arjun (2 times), introduced Ram Charan to Tollywood with 'Chirutha' and did 'Loafer' with Varun Tej.
He might not have directed Megastar but he will be seen playing a special role in Megastar's upcoming film 'Godfather' which is a remake of the Malayalam flick 'Lucifer'. Mohan Raja is directing this flick while Nayanthara is playing the female lead. Sharing the photo of Puri receiving a bouquet Megastar wrote, "A boy from Naripatnam who came to Hyderabad with the dream of becoming an actor. He turned into a star director but his dream should not be left alone right? So, introducing my @purijagan in a special role, from the sets of #Godfather."
Coming to Puri's 'Liger', sultry Bollywood beauty Ananya Pandey will be seen romancing Vijay in this flick and legendary boxer Mike Tyson is playing a key role. Vijay will be seen as a mixed martial arts fighter in this movie and he underwent a lot of training. Charmee along with Puri are jointly producing this high-budget film while Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy play crucial roles in 'Liger'. The cinematography is handled by Vishnu Sarma while Kecha from Thailand has composed the fights. There are high expectations on this movie and fans of Vijay are eagerly waiting for it from the past two years. Karan Johar is presenting this movie in Hindi and it is Vijay's official launch into Bollywood.
