Renu Desai slammed NDA Government for introducing a 2% tax for Super Rich with earning over Rs 1 crore and poked fun saying 'Death Tax' isn't far away. "Very soon government will have a death tax also..."oh! u r a dead body, please pay 2% tax!" Pointless endless variety of taxes we end up paying. There's "get" in Budget! 'Get' money from hardworking common man & fill coffers of already rich ministers!," she complains.
The Actress-turned-Filmmaker claims she has been a tax payer for the past 18 Years. "After being a tax payer for the last 18 years & paying various taxes as an Actress, Producer, Director & Investor! Crazy Trolls. I pay for my house, electricity, water & every single item I use including road toll! & still pay 33% plus taxes! Ever wondered what we pay for?," questions the Film Personality.
Not just the common man, but the Film Industry Folks including all the 24 Crafts weren't happy with Union Budget 2015.
