What made Deepika so angry?

Deepika Padukone expressed her anguish on the attack on Noted Artist Karan's Art Work, a rangoli which is inspired from her upcoming flick 'Padmavati'.
Artist Karan worked for 48 hours to create rangoli at a mall in Surat. All of a sudden, A crowd of 100 people stormed into the mall while raising the slogans of Jai Sri Ram and destroyed it completely.
Enraged by it, Deepika Padukone took to social media to say: 'Absolutely heart breaking to see the recent attack on artist Karan and his artwork! Disgusting and appalling to say the least! Who are these people? Who is responsible for their actions? For how long are we going to let this go on? Till when we will allow them to take law into their own hands & attack our freedom & right to individual expression time & again!?'. She even tagged the post to Union Minister Smriti Irani: 'This has to stop now and action must be taken @smritiirani'.
'Padmavati', the film made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was opposed by Karni Sena, which is a group belonging to Rajput Community. Deepika plays a Rajput Princess in the movie. Earlier, Mr.Bhansali was manhandled, film set was destroyed and posters were burnt by the protestors. They even threatened to stall the screening if facts were distorted. 'Padmavati' is slated for release of December 1st.
