Days after this announcement, Meerut-based Thakur Abhishek Som Leader offered Rs 5 crore for the heads of Deepika and Film's Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Team Padmavati: 'Will they kill us if we make a film or act in it. Is there democracy in the country? Any film should obtain certification from centre for release. If there is no value for Censor, such a situation is gonna kill Cinema for sure'.
Responding to the threats, Deepika said she is angry as a Woman, an Artiste and a citizen of this country. She makes it clear: 'I will never be scared of such threats why because fear isn't an emotion I have ever identified with'.
Deepika faults Fringe Groups for objecting 'Padmavati' without even watching it. She gives an assurance that every Indian could feel proud of this historical flick. 'People across the World need to know the story of Queen Padmavati. I am glad we did it,' she says.
When asked about the self-immolation sequence, Dippy reveals it's going to be a powerful moment in 'Padmavati' and its something which haunts her even Today. She declares it as one of the most memorable moments of her career.
