The chances of RRR releasing in theaters during the forthcoming Sankranthi season are substantially high. Several reliable reports are claiming that the film will be releasing in theaters on the 7th of January next year. The makers are still contemplating in this regard and they are expected to announce the film's new release date sooner rather than later. As of now, the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer looks set for worldwide theatrical release on the 7th of January next year. This might mean that the box office prospects of other Sankranthi releases like Bheemla Nayak, Radhe Shyam, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata might take a beating.
However, despite the imminent RRR threat, the makers of Radhe Shyam and Bheemla Nayak have affirmed that their films are sticking to initial release plans. The newly released poster of Radhe Shyam confirms that the film will indeed be releasing in theaters on 14th January next year, marking the occasion of Makar Sankranthi. Given Prabhas's star power and his unparalleled box office pull, Radhe Shyam might not be too affected by RRR. UV Creations, who are bankrolling Radhe Shyam seem to be placing their trust in Prabhas's impeccable box office pull as they look set to lock horns with RRR, which is likely to release a week ahead of the Prabhas starrer.
As for Bheemla Nayak, this film too is well and truly on course for release on 12th January next year, as announced by the makers initially. A new poster of the film that was unveiled later yesterday to announce the arrival of the first song from the album had the film's release date imprinted on it. 12th January release, the poster read.
