Dhanush's Latest Flick Rocking In Theatres!
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Aug 2022 4:34 AM GMTStar hero Dhanush is creating a very good market for himself in the Telugu states. All his movies are doing well at the box office in recent times and the two times National Award winner is growing bigger with each film. He was recently seen in the Hollywood action flick 'The Gray Man' and will soon arrive with Telugu-Tamil bilingual project 'Sir'.
In the meanwhile, he released a simple feel-good film named 'Thiruchitrambalam' on 18th August. It is being dubbed in Telugu as 'Thiru' and it got a very good talk from the beginning. While it was completely overshadowed by movies like 'Sita Ramam', 'Bimbisara' and 'Karthikeya 2' in Telugu, the film is doing exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu.
It was Dhanush's first film in theatres after a long time and it was released with minimum expectations. A few of Dhanush's recent outings like 'Atrangi Re' and 'Maaran' did not get a positive talk and director Mithran only made remakes till date. The trailer gave the vibes of 'VIP' and people were surprised with the quality content they were offered. The Tamil box office has been quite dull after the 'Vikram' storm and Dhanush's film started getting a very good reception due to this.
The collections increased rapidly and the trade pundits claim that it crossed the 100 crores mark in Tamil Nadu. 'Thiruchitrambalam' turned out to be one of the biggest hits in Dhanush's career and it even crossed the collections of Vijay's 'Beast' which came out earlier this year.
Despite being a massive star, Dhanush played the role of a regular delivery guy to perfection. Nithya Menen looked wonderful as the hero's best friend while Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar were seen as his romantic interests. Prakash Raj played the role of his father while Bharatiraja portrayed the character of his grandfather.
The conversations are hilarious and they were like day-to-day happenings in your life. 'Thiru' is a film driven by characters and screenplay. Anirudh's background score is pleasant and perfect. Mithra R Jawahar is the director while Om Prakash is the cinematographer. Edited by Gk Prasanna, Stunt Silva is the action director. Sun Pictures banner has bankrolled this project. Dhanush and Nitya Menon's rapport and performances are the biggest assets of this movie.
