Heroine apologises for Anti-Hindu comment
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 March 2016 5:23 AM GMTPopular heroine Dia Mirza, a Hyderabadi girl by birth, has made a controversial tweet on Holi and later apologised for hurting sentiments of Hindus with her careless comment.
"The irony of the times we live in: farmers commit suicide due to drought and people waste water to ‘play’ #Holi.Go ahead call me anti-Hindu", tweeted Dia Mirza earlier. With this anti-Hindu mentioning, people started blasting her and she understood the intensity of situation.
"As a citizen of India, I have an equal respect for all religions, festivals and customs that are celebrated in our country. It has never been my intention to hurt the sentiments of any individual or community. If in the event that my tweet has done so, I apologize unequivocally", she posted later, in a statement.
Why to rub wrong side? An advise on water is okay, but 'anti-hindu' mention is said to be something crossing lines.
