Did NTR really blackmail Sye Raa director?

Surender Reddy directed Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy with Megastar Chiranjeevi as the lead and he revealed that he did Ashok with NTR due to emotional blackmail by his staff.
He debuted with Athanokkade starring Kalyanram which the actor produced too. After this the director gave commitment to work with Prabhas.
But Sukumar, manager of Jr. NTR almost kidnapped the director and took him to different places away from city just to discuss about the film with NTR, it seems.
While Surender was looking at Prabhas and completing a story for their film, he was pushed to a corner for three days by staff of NTR by talking about locations, shots, schedules, even though he did not agree.
Finally, he agreed and went to meet NTR, it seems. There he was given Ashok story and the director unwillingly took up the project as he felt doing a film NTR is fine for his career, as he is a big star.
The video interview surfaced on Internet and made many question the purpose of it. Is Surender trying to apologise to Prabhas for a new film? He just wanted to state a fact?
