Year 2018 has been very unlucky for Dil Raju. Both 'Lover' and 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' ended as disasters. And now, 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame' is struggling to achieve break-even.
Hype created by Dil Raju for 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' proved costly. So, The Seasoned Producer kept the promotions of 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame' simple but even this strategy worked against him. Despite mixed reactions, Ram & Anupama-starrer generated good revenue in the First Weekend. Collections looked decent by the end of Week 1. Lack of aggressive promotions during this phase deteriorated the situation further. While Dil Raju was busy with 'Maharshi' shoot in US, Sirish was in Bangkok for 'F2' Shoot. This is why the Production House couldn't focus much on promotions post the release.
Trade Circles say, 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame' falls short of break-even. Dil Raju planned own release in Nizam, Vizag and Krishna. Buyers in Ceded, Guntur, East, West & Nellore are likely to incur losses.
