Is Brand Dil Raju Fading Out?
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Oct 2018 1:32 PM GMTDil Raju is one of the rare producers of Telugu Film Industry, who could gather a huge name independently off the heroes. He developed a brand for himself with films like Bommarillu, Happy Days, Arya, Parugu, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and many more.
Audiences started waiting for his films and 2017, has been his luckiest year as all his films collected good returns from the box office. But this year, his brand value seems to have taken a big hit.
Normally, even the weak films from his banner used to perform well during the first week as family audiences used to come to the theatres trusting his name.
Except for few first day disasters, his production house has never seen too many bad films but this year even his biggest bet, Srinivasa Kalyanam which he promoted well aiming at families saw a rejection from targeted audiences.
Lover, Srinivasa Kalyanam's rejection has affected the buzz for F2- Fun and Frustration. Even though Venkatesh and Varun Tej are coming together in Anil Ravipudi's direction buzz is not at all at the expected levels as off now.
On the other hand, RC12 and NTR Kathanayakudu are known all over and their release dates have been popularly spread too. The competition will be huge between them and F2, might not be able to compete to recover the costs as well.
We have to wait and see if the festival can help Dil Raju again like Hello Guru Prema Kosame, which earned moderately for its content at the box office.
