Former Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy created a sensation with the launch his son Nikhil Gowda in to the film industry. He has spent a Rs. 75 crore for the debut film 'Jaguar' which is a record for any debut film. Vijayendra Prasad story..Thaman music.. But Kumaraswamy has planned his son's second film with a star director to give him a break. He tried hard to sign Tollywood star director Surender Reddy. He said to have offered huge remuneration to him. There were even reports that Surender-Nikhil project was confirmed. Somehow it didn't happen. Meanwhile Surender Reddy scored a hit 'Dhruva' and he got the opportunity to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi. So, Suri didn't accept Kumaraswamy offer.
Kumaraswamy tried for few other star directors but no one was ready..and finally he has settled down with young Kannada director Chetan Kumar. Nikhil - Chetan Kumar film has been also launched recently. Chetan entered Sandalwood as a lyricist and turned director with 'Bahaddur'.. the film turned out to be a super hit. He scored another hit with 'Bharjari'. Nikhil Gowda film is going to be his third film. Whatever be the case.. Kumaraswamy found a replacement for Surender Reddy.
