How Maruthi Became A Brand?
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Sep 2018 9:48 AM GMTWe all read that, 'Hardwork will never fail'. Well that appears to be true when we read certain people autobiographies and know about their journey.
Maruthi Dasari is not just a director but a brand today. He is able to successfully make movies that entertain audiences of various categories.
Now, he chose Family audience as his target and decided to do movies that entertain them big time. But how all this happened?
Maruthi shared, "I am son of a banana vendor. My father used to get Rs.50 per day and that was his highest. I used work in any job that I got after my 10th.
I got a job after Degree and until then my father used to work as banana vendor. I forced him to retire and stay at home.
I always loved drawing and when I sent my art to Nageswararao Heart Animation in Hyderabad, they gave me a scholarship of Rs.15,000 and that made me come to Hyderabad.
In 2000, Allu Arjun came to learn drawing from me and we became close. He wanted to settle down in Canada but when he got a chance in Gangotri, he encouraged me also to join films.
Later, I designed ad campaign for Prajarajyam party. Megastar Chiranjeevi encouraged me to become a director and that lead to me make my first movie in limited budget," concluded Maruthi. His latest film Shailaja Reddy Alludu collected Rs. 18 crores share worldwide in its first weekend.
