Shankar Says He Is Still In Shock!

Director Shankar mounted sequel for Indian, 1996 blockbuster with Kamal Haasan, on a large scale and during the shoot in Chennai, a crane arm lost balance and fell on the canopy, where Shankar and crew were sitting.
Director escaped but three of his crew members died on spot. 10 more are getting treatment in a private hospital.
Kamal Haasan announced one crore to the families of bereaved and the team halted shoot for uncertain number of days after the accident.
Shankar did not speak in public about the incident and he finally tweeted,
"It is with utmost grief, I’m tweeting.Since the tragic incident,I’ve been in a state of shock & having sleepless nights on the loss of my AD & crew.Having missed the crane by a whisker,I feel it would’ve been better if it was on me. Heartfelt condolences & prayers to the families"
The director seems to be completely in shock and mourning the loss of lives on his sets harder than anyone else. Him wishing that it would have been had he died in the accident than those youngsters, show how much of trauma the accident has inflicted on him.
We hope he recovers and give an entertaining film as a tribute to those who died doing their work without any mistake. Hope, people will take safety measures and perfect care, after this accident on film sets.
