Disastrous 'Liger' Gets Ready For OTT Release!

If there is one film that disappointed the audience beyond their imaginations, it is definitely Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger'. This Puri Jagannadh's directorial was promoted very heavily before the release and the team looked very confident which made the expectations raise despite an average trailer and not-so appealing songs. But the film bagged negative talk right from the premieres and failed to impress the audience at any point.
No one could believe that a highly talented duo like Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda could come up with such a lackluster film. The losses were so heavy that Puri is now holding discussions with distributors in order to compensate for the losses. 'Jana Gana Mana' which was supposed to start immediately in their combination after 'Liger' has ended up getting shelved. Now, this unsuccessful pan-Indian film is arriving on Hotstar from 22nd September. Reports suggest that it will be streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages from Thursday and the Hindi version is expected to come out later.
With the film being such a huge flop, it is to be seen how many people are keen on watching it on the digital streaming platform. Apart from Vijay Deverakonda, the cast of 'Liger' includes Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey, Getup Srinu and others. Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer, while Kecha from Thailand is the stunt director. Junaid Siddiqui is the editor for 'Liger' which is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Ananya Pandey is the heroine in this film. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta together have bankrolled the film on a grand scale. Mike Tyson is also present in the climax of this film.
