Sukumar is highly regarded as a clever and good filmmaker. His concepts are high and his films are complicated.
He tries to convince you with his own logic and at times, such films have bombed at the box office.
Rangasthalam even though became a huge hit, his hardcore fans miss his style of complexity and characterisations.
They think for making it more box office friendly, Sukumar controlled himself and the 1980's theme also helped him to do so.
While critics are praising that he tried well and hence, the result, fans are just a tad bit disappointed. They don't want Sukku to change but they want him to balance.
