Earlier, it was announced that Samantha's edge-of-the-seat thriller 'Yashoda' will be releasing on August 12th while 'Laal Singh Chadda' in which Naga Chaitanya played a key role is going to release on 11th August. But the team of 'Yashoda' officially announced that they postponed the film despite the talkie part being completed. The makers announced that the film is postponed due to a lot of CGI work.
'Laal Singh Chadda' is an adaptation of Hollywood classic 'Forrest Gump' to Indian culture. The trailer got mixed response from the audience. Kareena Kapoor is the female lead in this project and Tollywood's young hero Naga Chaitanya is playing a key role. Atul Kulkarni adapted the film while Advait Chandan is the film's director. It is produced by Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kiran Rao, Ajit Andhare and Radhika Chaudhari. Pritam is composing the music for this slice of life drama.
Coming to 'Yashoda', Hari-Harish duo is directing this edge-of-the-seat thriller with stellar cast & renowned technicians across the world. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad is producing this movie under his 'Sridevi Movies' banner. The first glimpse which came out a couple of months back raised the expectations on the movie. The dubbing is also getting started as it will be released in multiple languages. Dialogues were written by Pulagam Chinnarayana and Dr. Challa Bhagyalaxmi. Mani Sharma is composing the music.
With Yashoda getting delayed, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya are not competing with each other. On the other hand, Akhil's spy thriller 'Agent' is also postponed.
