Diwali Releases Struggling With Low Buzz!
X
Unlike Dasara season, this Diwali weekend has no big releases at the box office. Instead, we will be having four movies that are arriving with a very low buzz. While two are straight Telugu films, the other two are of Tamil heroes. On October 21st, Vishwak Sen's 'Ori Devuda', Manchu Vishnu's 'Ginna', Karthi's 'Sardar' and Siva Karthikeyan's 'Prince' are going to compete with each other.

VIshwak remade 'Oh My Kaduvule' as 'Ori Devuda' in Telugu. The trailer looked highly entertaining. Mithila Palkar played the role of the hero's friend who loves him and eventually ends up marrying him. Problems arise when she gets too possessive and Vishwak will be seen as the guy who finds it difficult to see a wife in his best friend. Venkatesh will be seen as the god who gives the hero another chance at life and Puri Jagannadh played a cameo too. Ashwath Marimuthu is the director while Tharun Bhascker penned the dialogues. This is the film with the most buzz this upcoming weekend.

As we know, Manchu Vishnu is waiting for a hit for a long time. He is coming with 'Ginna' which does not have any kind of buzz. A lot of people are not aware of its release on 21st October. Despite a lot of big names involved, it failed to make any kind of noise and it explains Manchu Vishnu's current state.

Coming to Tamil heroes, Karthi who was recently the saving grace of 'PS - 1' is arriving this weekend with 'Sardar'. Directed by PS Mithran, this interesting film has Raashi Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan and Laila playing the female leads. The interesting trailer and storyline generated a lot of buzz on the movie and with Karthi having a lot of craze in Telugu, a positive talk would do a world of good for the film's unit.

Siva Karthikeyan's 'Prince' is another release this weekend. Directed by 'Jathiratnalu' fame Anudeep KV, the trailer and songs got a decent response. But the makers are showing no interest in promoting this film and it is quite surprising to them ignoring the promotions. Though SK's last two outings 'Doctor' and 'Don' were decent hits, he is not an established hero and 'Prince' which is projected as bilingual needs proper publicity. But the lack of proper planning is damaging the box office prospects of this fun romantic comedy. Let us wait and see how the film turns out when it hits the screens.

With all four films arriving with a relatively low buzz, the initial talk from the morning shows will be very crucial to their box office future.
