By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Oct 2022 7:07 AM GMTThe Kannada film industry is on an upward path right now. With 'KGF' franchise putting them on the national map, people are getting to see the quality content they produce. Movies like 'Charlie 7777', 'Vikrant Rona' and the recent flick 'Kantara' is making everyone be more and more interested in Kannada movies. There is another huge pan-Indian project arriving from Sandalwood and it is 'Kabzaa' starring Kannada superstars Upendra and Sudeep in the main roles.
The team wished everyone a 'Happy Diwali' and released a special poster in which Upendra is looking badass. With a long hair, sunglasses and a silk kurta on, he is surely pulling off the 80s gangster look with ease. With all the chaos happening behind him, the poster is surely raising the expectations on this movie. The teaser which was released a few weeks earlier got a huge response despite people pointing out the similarities with 'KGF' in every aspect.
Starting from the color tones to the camera angles, everything reminds people of 'KGF'. Since it was Ravi Basrur who gave music to 'Kabzaa', the background score in the teaser sounded similar too. Upendra looks dashing in the two looks. He is stylish and pulled off the aggressive look too. Sudeep made his presence felt and so did Shriya who will be seen in a strong and serious role. The makers claim that 'Kabzaa' is the next big thing in Indian cinema. We need to see whether the maker's statement is true or not.
Written and directed by R Chandru, 'Kabzaa' is produced by R Chandra Sekhar. AJ Shetty is the director of photography while Ravi Basrur is giving the songs and background score. Ram Laksham and Chandramouli penned the dialogues while Deepu S Kumar is the editor. Details about the rest of the actors and the release date will be coming out soon.
