Don't Compare Me With Jandhyala - Avasarala Srinivas
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 April 2019 10:31 AM GMTAvasarala Srinivas found out his mojo has a director who makes Telugu films that can be watched with family and as an actor who can be trusted with difficult characters.
Some of the over enthusiastic viewers who love his work draw parallel to his work with legendary writer Jandhyala who is known as Comedy Brahma.
The writer-actor-director, Avasarala Srinivas said that even though it is flattering for him to see his name being called in the same breathe as Jandhyala, he said that he doesn't know Telugu as much as the legend.
He said, "I know that people say that high about my work because of the Telugu I was able to write in my films more than the family friendly jokes.
I could crack few clever puns in Telugu but my Telugu is not that great. I cannot be compared with Jandhayala garu because of his vast knowledge on the subject if not for anything else.
I am still learning the craft. Many people used to think I am too timid to be able to direct a film but I wrote their names and took their signs with dates, to motivate myself to prove them wrong. I finally did it," concluding Avasarala Srinivas.
