Ravi Babu: Do We Need An Outsider As MAA President?
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Oct 2021 8:12 AM GMTDynamic filmmaker and actor Ravi Babu made his opinion heard with a video byte that he shared on his official social media handles. He spoke at length about the ongoing MAA elections saga and all the high drama surrounding it. Right at the start of the video, he pointed out that the point is not about the local or non-local issue but the efficiency of Telugu artists and technicians. He made a couple of intriguing comments about the MAA election campaign and suggestively dropped a few remarks on Prakash Raj, who is contesting in the election.
"Just to make things clear right at the start, this video is not about the local or the non-local issue. This is just an informative post regarding the MAA elections. In Tollywood, filmmakers are always looking to cast other language actors for important supporting roles in their films. This decision is at the sole discretion of the producers and we can't speak against their interests as they are the ones who spend big bucks on the projects. Then comes the technicians' issue. There are around 150-200 cinematographers in Hyderabad. But Tollywood filmmakers don't want to work with them for some strange reason. We bring in cinematographers from other industries and pay them a whopping amount of money. Then, we take a gasp after seeing their outdoor shoot expenditures," Ravi Babu said.
Adding further, the outspoken actor said "MAA is a small organization formed to sort out any problems pertaining to movie artists. It predominantly comprises of Telugu actors. But now, we are approaching an outsider for MAA elections as well. We usually go after other language artists, technicians, cinematographers, and now, we are going after an outsider for MAA elections as well. Are we Telugu people so very inefficient? Why should we fall after other language people for our very own MAA elections? Please give it a serious thought before polling your votes."
It is known that MAA elections are scheduled to be held on the 10th of this month. As the elections date fast approaches, the war of words between Vishnu's camp and Prakash Raj have hit the pinnacle stage.
