Why Jaya's Body Emnalmed After Death

When her body is being transported from the hospital, many observed that her body was embalmed and there were a lot of rumours regarding the same. The reports reveal that the doctors have done embalming procedure to prevent the body from decomposing. The High court Retired Judge Aarumuga Swamy committee has been enquiring the same and the commission already questioned a lot of people involved in this.
In this scenario, Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, who led the medical team that embalmed the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's body, on Wednesday deposed before the Justice Arumughaswamy Commission of Inquiry. She answered the questions asked by the commission and explained why she has to do the embalming procedure.
"I was called at around 10.30 p.m. on December 5 and I reached the hospital at 11.40 p.m. Around midnight, I saw the body. I started the embalming process which took me 15-20 minutes to complete it.'' Dr. Seshayyan, Director & Professor at the Madras Medical College’s Institute of Anatomy revealed.
Meanwhile, there were rumours on the Appolo officials for utilising the services of Sudha instead of their hospital's Anatomy specialists.
