Dull time for box-office. Jaanu to face its effect!

Last year, Tollywood had a very dry spell after the Dasara season. After big releases like 'Saaho' and 'Sye Raa', the box-office became completely dull for the next few months. It came to life again after the release of 'Venky Mama' and 'Prathi Roju Pandage' in December.

Sankranti season was literally a feast to the film lovers with huge releases like 'Darbar', 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo'. They brought the festival for the box-office. As they completed almost three weeks of their theatrical run, the box-office has again slowed down. Ravi Teja's 'Disco Raja' which released on 24th January failed badly. Recent releases like 'Aswathama' and 'Choosi Choodangane' too did not get good openings while reviews were pretty average.

On top of it, his last two films were failures which will damage the prospects of 'Jaanu' which is releasing on February 7th. The whole burden is on the film's leading lady Samantha. Also, the film has a very low buzz as the songs and trailers failed to get the desired response. Let us see how this film survives this tough situation which ahead of them.
