Overseas Blues For Dussehra Biggies!

There will be a huge hungama in the Telugu states whenever a star hero film is ready for release. When a star hero film releases on a normal day, we can see the festive atmosphere at the theaters. If the same film releases on festival day, the hungama will be doubled. Three biggies are slated for release in the Dussehra season NTR-'Jai Lava Kusa', Mahesh Babu-'Spyder', Nandamuri Balakrishna-'Paisa Vasool'. These three films are hitting the screens in a few days gap.

Overseas market has grown by leaps and bounds for Tollywood films in the past few years. The producers are also focusing more on overseas rights than before. But they are said to be quoting very high prices to the distributors to gain more profits. Overseas distributors are scared to acquire the rights for exuberant prices due to the past experiences.. they are not coming forward to buy the rights of biggies as per the talk.

Mahesh Babu 'Spyder' overseas rights deal has not been closed till now. 'Spyder' makers are said to be quoting Rs.22-25 crores for the overseas deal.. but no distributor is coming forward to acquire the rights for that price. Considering the situation, makers are getting ready to reduce the price to close the deal. It is notable 'Spyder' is the craziest film of the season.

Similarly, 'Jai Lava Kusa' makers said to have quoted 15 crores for overseas initially.. but they are ready to reduce the price to close the deal now. Surprisingly, these two films have done wonderful business in the Telugu states... but they got struck at the overseas rights deal. Makers are said to be finding it difficult to close the overseas deal for Balakrishna's 'Paisa Vasool' as well. We have to wait and see how the makers close the deals finally.
