Touted to be a gangster comedy film, Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon played the lead roles whereas Bobby Simha played the villain role in Tamil movie 'Jigarthanda' which became a super hit in Kollywood.
Now, the same movie is getting remade in Telugu. Harish Shankar is helming this project whereas Varun Tej is reprising Bobby Simha's role in this film. Recently, the makers have officially launched the movie. As per the latest reports, the makers have approached a Telugu girl to play the lead role in this movie. She is none other than Eesha Rebba. The actress who recently appeared in 'Aravinda Sametha' movie reportedly got the offer to play the female lead in the Telugu remake of 'Jigarthanda' titled as 'Valmiki'. The official announcement of the female lead is yet to be made.
On the other hand, the makers have got Sri Vishnu on board to play the lead role in this film. So, Sri Vishnu is going to reprise Siddharth's role in this film. 14 Reels Plus banner is bankrolling this project.
