After a minor setback in the form of 'Shankarabharanam', He teamed up with 'Tiger' fame VI Anand for a thriller 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada'. Career-wise, This is a very important movie for Nikhil & he has to bounce back. Let's see how it has shaped up…

They even get ready for Marriage but the girl doesn't come to the spot where they planned to meet and goes missing completely. Performances:
Nikhil deserves a special mention for his choice of films since 'Swamy Ra Ra'. These days, Movie Lovers expect something new from his movies. Nikhil isn't taking the success for granted and giving utmost importance to every aspect of filmmaking to live up to the expectations. He has done so much home work for to show some variation while playing Arjun. High confidence levels and subtle performance makes him a winner.
Altogether, There are three Heroines in the movie. Its Nanditha Swetha who stole the show among the trio. She did a terrific job in the role which gave good scope. Hebah Patel is just okay. Of course, She earns brownie points with glamour show. Avika is alright.
Vennela Kishore and Satya generate ample humor. Tanikella, Raja Ravindra and Annapurna have been adequate.
Pros:
Nikhil
Screenplay
Background Score
Cons:
Drags a bit
Climax
Technicalities:
Technicians have done their best for 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada'. Couple of songs composed by Sekhar Chandra were instant hits. But, Its his Background Score which elevated the movie to a whole new level. Cinematography by Sai Sriram is an asset to the movie. Some of the locations were breathtaking & visual appeal is so nice. Art Work is flawless. Dialogues were sensible. Production Values are appreciable. Thumbs Up to the Producer for coming forward to invest on such a subject. After taking commercial route for 'Tiger', Director VI Anand pleasantly surprised movie lovers with a contrast subject like 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada'. He leaves a mark of his own on the project with a gripping screenplay.
Analysis:
'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' is a fantasy thriller based on evil spirits. Director VI Anand succeeded in giving a new touch to the age old story. Thanks to the Strong Characterizations and Twists n Turns throughout the course of the movie!
A bit of time has been taken to enter into the actual story but thereafter it was smooth sailing. Viewers keep guessing answers after every Twist. There is good dose of comedy in the movie though its a thriller. Especially, Vennela Kishore and Satya leave a big impact.
Interval Bang takes audience into a serious mood. The manner in which flashback Love Story which ended abruptly was connected to the present times is pretty impressive. Minute details have been taken care & Screenplay does the trick. Twist in the Pre-Climax is thrilling. But, The Climax could have been better as conclusion appears unconvincing/illogical.
Though Narration appeared a bit show at times & few scenes were dragged, 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' has certainly engaged the audience. Overall, Nikhil strikes back with a promising film which offers a new experience with interesting twists and good humour.
Bottom Line: An Engaging Thriller!
