Even Naga Chaitanya's Performance Couldn't Save Thank You!

The film industry has a big task in front of it in making the audiences come to the theatres. Given the convenience the OTTs have brought, movie lovers are not showing interest in going to theaters to watch films easily. Only if the film keeps them engaged, the audience is going to the theatres.
The recently released Thank You starring Naga Chaitanya failed to see good footfall. Despite critics hailing Naga Chaitanya's performance saying that the Akkineni scion gave his career-best, this is not enough. On day one, the feel-good film barely managed to get Rs 1.5 crore which is a big concern.
The hit combination of Vikram K Kumar and Naga Chaitanya after Manam was also not enough to stop the Thank You ship from sinking.
Naga Chaitanya did the best he could in getting into the skin of the characters he did. But sadly, the story overlapped with the brilliant performance of the lead pair. The similarities between Premam and Thank You might also be a reason behind Thank You ending up as a dud.
The romantic entertainer Thank You is helmed by Vikram Kumar, while B. V. S. Ravi wrote the script. Leading producer Dil Raju bankrolled the Naga Chaitanya starrer under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Rashi Khanna played the leading lady.
