Excise Department Responds To Madhavi Latha's Drug Allegations

After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the topic of drugs became a sensation in Bollywood. Now it is shaking up Tollywood too after film actress and BJP leader Madhavi Latha commented that usage of drugs is common at Tollywood celebrity parties. NCB officials and the government should pay special attention to this, she said.
Madhavi Latha made it clear that she would abide by her remarks. She said she saw some celebrities taking drugs when she went to a party five years ago, but she couldn't reveal them out in fear of big mafias behind this. She urged the government to curb such a drug culture. She also said that she is not speaking for sensationalism.
Responding to Madhavi's drug allegations, the Excise department has asked the actress to submit the evidence if she has any in this regard. They also said that it is inappropriate to make such allegations without proper evidence. The officials made it clear that they had arrested several people who are involved in drug cases. They also said that they are closely monitoring these activities with strict surveillance.
