Exclusive: Nagarjuna to host KBC

Akkineni Nagarjuna will be the face of KBC in the new Telugu states. Yes, The Romantic King will be hosting the Telugu version of most popular Indian television game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' which is actually based on UK game show 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'. An officially confirming on the news will be coming in the next few days.
Sources say, Nag will begin the shooting for the show soon. Special care is being taken for the KBC set as the makers want it to match the standards of the original and also appeal to Telugu audience.
From the period (2000-2007), KBC was aired on Star Plus channel. Since 2010, The Game Show was moved to Sony TV. As Sony holds 30 percent stake in MAA TV and even trying to buy the channel, Telugu version of KBC will be aired on MAA itself.
KBC always generated record TRPs, be it in the Hindi or Telugu version. Hence, the magic is expected to repeat in Telugu too. As a result, MAA TV is likely to continue in the No.1 Position for some more time.
