'Fanney Khan' is a story which connects with every individual who have heart in the right place. This is about the love and struggle of a Father to fulfill the dream of his Daughter.
Promo opens with Anil Kapoor becoming popular as Fanney Khan in the 90s. He, however, couldn't fulfill his dream to become a pop star and gets settled as a Cab Driver. Anil's Daughter Lata Sharma gets body shamed every time she attempts to become a rockstar. To end his Daughter's misery, Anil Kapoor convinces Rajkumar Rao that they should kidnap rockstar Baby Singh (Aishwarya Rai) to ensure she promotes Lata Sharma's Music Album. In the end, A message has been conveyed that one needn't compromise on their dreams just because they are fat.
Anil Kapoor is brilliant as a doting Father. Rajkumar Rao's innocence and Aishwarya's sex appeal wins the hearts. The Girl who played Lata Sharma did a fine job. Divya Dutta as a Mother is too good in the emotional scenes. This Atul Manjrekar directorial releases on August 3rd, 2018
