It Became Weaker After The Weekend
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 July 2017 5:12 AM GMT'Fidaa' movie released recently and it has garnered positive talk. Overall first weekend collections were also decent. Good release timing helped the film. Nani film 'Ninnu Kori' slowed down at the box office.. last Friday releases didn't show any impact on the ticket counters. Aggressive promotions turned out to be helpful for the film. On the whole, 'Fidaa' fared well at the box office in the first weekend.
If we consider the positive talk, the collections should actually increase slowly. Even though collections are good in A centers, the situation is not so impressive in B, C centers. As 'Fidaa' is a class film, collections didn't meet the expectations in B, C centers. The collections were O.K at the B, C centers in the weekend but they have decreased later. Reports from the trade circles indicate that 'Fidaa' collections in B, C centers in mass areas are nominal on Monday.
It is known that 'Fidaa' received negative talk for the second half from the mass audience from day one. There is criticism on the film that the film is very slow and dragged in the second half. Class audience can adjust with the slow second half, but the mass audience will find it difficult to sit through the second half. It is a known fact that Sekhar Kammula films don't appeal to the mass audience much. 'Fidaa' is also not an exception.
