Filmfare Awards Announced, Ranveer & Kriti Elected As The Best!

All the big names in Bollywood arrived at the event and looked their absolute best in stylish designer outfits. There were stars all over and the dark night was brightened up by the arrival of all the bigwigs and divas of Bollywood.
The Best Actor award was given to Ranveer Singh for his terrific portrayal of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in '83'. The movie was a huge disaster during the time of its release but was praised by many. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal won the Critics' Choice award for his amazing work in 'Sardar Udham' which was released directly on Amazon Prime Video. Tall beauty Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress award for her tremendous performance in 'Mimi' while the Critics' Choice award went for Vidya Balan's acting in 'Sherni'.
'Panja', 'Billa' and 'Aarambam' fame Vishnuvardhan got the Best Director award for 'Shershaah' and this biopic of Vikram Batra won the Best Film (Popular Category). The Critics' Choice Best Film went for 'Sardar Udham'. Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar won the Best Actors in Supporting Roles for their performance in 'Mimi'. 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' was given the Best Story and Best Original Story awards. Ehan Bhatfor was given the Best Debut Male award for his work in '99 Songs' while Sharvari Wagh got the Best Debut Female award for her acting in 'Bunty Aur Babli 2'. There were a lot of other awards given too and it was 'Shershaah' and 'Sardar Udham' which won the major share of awards.
